EATING keto???
-- KEEP IT SIMPLE --
1. DON'T worry about calories
2. EAT only when hungry... consider short fasts!
3. CUT your carbs & sugars... no more soda, processed crap & watch for hidden carbs! (Look @ nutritional labels)
4. TRACK your food (Carb Manager App... you won't have to do this forever!)
5. DRINK water (1/2 of your body weight in oz. each day)
6. ADD electrolytes to optimize results, avoid the keto flu & stay hydrated
7. ADD exogenous ketones to go further faster
8. DON'T use the scale as a metric of your progress! It will lie to you... muscle weighs more than fat!
With KETO you will naturally lose your appetite and begin eating less; when you do, the calories and dietary fat go down as well! -- You won't go into traditional "starvation mode" because your body is NOT starving, it's burning your body fat for fuel and you will NEVER run out of fuel! -- Eat only when hungry; ignore calories and the clock: listen to your body; when it needs fuel it tells you (hunger)... NOT a routine! -- Remember your macros... 5% carbs, 20% proteins, and 75% fats. And remember these are limits, NOT requirements! Don't over fuel yourself by forcing yourself to eat just to meet some number! -- Fasting will happen organically and you may go several more hours with no food than your used to - it's okay, your fat sustains you!!! -- KETO burns fat and spares muscle: the scale doesn't tell the whole story; take measurements; take photos; find a piece of non stretch clothing that doesn't fit and try it on weekly!
